Typical Mario Brilliance, January 18, 2008
By Shano (San Diego, CA) I have been a Mario fan since the first Nintendo gaming system came out, graduating through Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gamecube. Mario can be counted on to be 'family' friendly fun. Super Mario Galaxy definitely lives up to the Mario legacy. You'll find a lot of the old characters, yet upgraded to a new level. And the twist of gravity on the different planets is genius. This is a game that is fun to play with (or without) your kids. Mario Rules !
Hands down the best video game in years!!!, January 18, 2008

I love Super Mario Galaxy. The first time I played it, I felt like I did when I got my first Nintendo 17 years ago after playing Atari for years: it makes all of the games I've played before seem obsolete. A fantastic game for the Wii platform. Very worthy new title of the Super Mario saga. Everyone I know who has played it-loves it. Buy it today; you won't have a moment's regret.

Surprisingly awesome! Bought this for my 7 yr old son and he took to it like a duck to water. The 3D view is outstanding. As an adult, I have a hard time putting some of the realms into perspective. My son has no trouble at all, in fact, I think it challenges his mind more than other games. The camera angle follows you quickly around the planets. Planets are round remember, so Mario is always right side up so the camera is rotating the planet and universe around you.
This is why you own a Wii, January 16, 2008

As with every other Nintendo system before it, the possibilities of the Wii could not be fully realized until Mario gave the system a thorough go. Super Mario Galaxy is the first 'must own' Wii game. With spot on controls and level design that is at once accessible for casual gamers and challenging for veteran gamers, Super Mario Galaxy is an exhilarating experience that shouldn't be missed. As you progress through the game, slowly unlocking more and more galaxies to explore, you realize that the levels you'd just completed have prepared you for the challenges ahead. Each new level expects you to master a different skill, a different mindset.
By the time you progress far enough along to challenge Bowser and save the unluckiest Princess ever, Peach, you are a master of Mario's arsenal and up to the challenge.
Super Mario Galaxy is a well paced, fair, yet challenging experience that will allow new gamers to learn platforming from the best and challenge experienced gamers with the fiercest of puzzles. I could not possibly give this game a stronger endorsement.

I'm a childhood fan of the Mario game franchise. I'm not a true "gamer" - but rather an everyday guy who plays for the sake of the occasional amusement - to settle the soul - relieve some stress - waste some time. It's clear that Mario Galaxy is the best I've seen - a blend of the Zelda style quest and the standard Mario lore, this game is a perfect 10.If you buy only one game for the Wii - - - Mario Galaxy should be it.
