We love Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock Bundle but hate the price. We bought locally for half the price and asked hubbelgames for an RMA and have had no response from Amazon or Hubbelgames. We want to return the unopened, overpriced game and have had NO response from anyone. We are VERY disappointed in AMAZON and your seling provider. The lack of service bode's poorly for both you and your business partner. I feel as if my wife and family have been taken advantage of.
Sincerely,
Symplcymnn

I recently bought Guitar Hero III bundle for my husband. We have been hooked ever since. The song list is great, not overplayed hits but many of the classics. The guitar is user friendly, although I only gave it 4 stars due to the fact that it is very hard to play left handed, as the fret bar gets put in an awkward position, making it hard to use. I just use it right handed. I would like to see downloadable songs in the future to increase the long term enjoyment of guitar hero III. And it is silly that they didn't release the guitar separately to buy when there is a coop mode, as I am looking forward to kicking my husband's butt! Those are my only complaints, as I never usually play games, but is the best thing I have purchased in a while!

Almost, but not quite there..., January 16, 2008

As always, with a mega-popular game, there comes multiple remakes and this one could have been better. If you were a fan of the other Guitar Hero games, then this one will not disappoint. With the wonderful wireless capability of the guitar and the new display, this game has gotten better, almost. Unfortunately, for those who only own a Wii will have to accept Guitar Hero 3 for the way it is. All in all, it still holds its charm and addicting gameplay, however a few things stand in the way from becoming a complete improvement over Guitar Hero 2.Mainly, the decency of a song list really depends on the genre of music you enjoy listening to. I found Guitar Hero 3's song list to be a major let down and couldn't compare to its predecessor. Guitar Hero 3 has a rather bland set of 74 songs with a total of maybe 3 songs I would enjoy replaying. Not to mention the list of 'bonus songs' that are evidently unheard of. Most people I have discussed the game with rather would stick with Guitar Hero 2 because of the poor song list in this game.
If you've played the series enough, the difficulty on Guitar Hero 3 seems to be easier than that of the others. After all the songs on expert from Guitar Hero 2, Guitar Hero 3's difficulty seems to be absent. If you are just picking this game for the first time however, then worry none because the game will flow along greatly for you.
The terrible list of songs and the easier difficulty makes this game less of an improvement from Guitar Hero 2. It is however worth picking up for the Wii owners because this is all there is, and it's still a great game with a lot of replayability. The wireless guitar will allow you to rock from anywhere and it still has the same concepts as the others.
Lastly, the sound is only mono and not surround. This is a terrible way to sell a game, especially a music based game, however it shouldn't affect you when thinking about picking up this game. Along with that flaw, the graphics in guitar hero III are just horrendous. The animations of the characters are pathetic and laughable, however, you'll be too occupied with the fret board coming at you to worry about the poorly done characters in the background.
In the end, as this is the only option available for the Wii, it's almost a must have. For the first timers, it'll have you addicted within the first minute of playing. For veterans, Guitar Hero 2 is the better choice. While there are possibly more to come, this one is enough to keep you occupied until the newer, hopefully with improved songs, Guitar Hero comes out.

Guitar hero 3 continues the formula of allowing players to push a few buttons on a plastic guitar and feel like rock legends. The difference now is that those few buttons are really a crapload of buttons. The level of difficulty has increased dramatically in guitar hero III. Don't even expect to beat expert unless you know how to at least do a pull off. (I'm stuck on slipknot...damn) For new gamers beating easy and medium will just be as fun as beating hard but I recommend you try all the modes as there are numerous bonuses for doing so and extra songs only found in co-op mode(or by entering a cheat..do the cheat:P) It's just like every other guitar hero, with the exception of battle mode which I found fun but flawed. Playing expert and facing someone with easy is hilarious. You get owned like no other just when the guy presses 3 buttons while you're hitting 50. Still it retains its charm and even though the amazing song "through the fire and flames" will make your wii wii burn, after playing it for a bit you just cant help but love everytime you hear dragonforce on your local alternative radio station!
