Description Zack & Wiki Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure
As a little pirate with big dreams, Zach doesn't just have his sights set on mere treasure or spectacularly speedy pirateships - he wants to be the greatest pirate who ever lived! To reach that lofty goal, he is going to have to outwit, outsmart and outduel every obstacle that gets in his way. It's a good thing he's found his new enchanted pal, Wiki, a magical hand bell with the power to transform any object into something practical. Get ready to explore seven vibrant and fantastic lands, from lush jungles and frigid ice temples to colossal castles and floating airships. Each level contains multiple sub-levels of peril, puzzles and plunder. Play alone or as a group to work through each increasingly complex puzzle. Use the Wii Remote to navigate, open objects, transform items and unlock new pathways with a whole new variety of methods. Even boss battles are puzzle-based, so you'll need to think on your feet! I'm really enjoying Zack & Wiki Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure. It's a perfect puzzle game that's a lot of fun, easy to pick up and put down, and uses the Wii remote in fantastic ways. A great game for all ages! This fills a real need in the Wii library. I'm usually a traditional adventure gamer and am not so much into puzzle games, but this is really appealing. (More Games…)

I am a new Wii gamer (recently introduced to the game world through Wii--can't play games using normal game controllers, too complicated). I bought Zack & Wiki Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure for my sons and I ended up playing it with my husband. It is so much fun figuring out how to get the treasure. You have to use Wii control in many different ways--flip, turn, crank, etc.--to come up with how to use the items that you find to solve each puzzle. My sons are trying to take away the control from us, but until we finish the game, I doubt we will give it up! We are hooked! (Sorry kids.) I feel it is educational for kids as it will help with their analytical skills. Although characters, Zack(kid pirate-wannabee) and Wikki(golden monkey that turns into a bell when you encounter enemies and turn them into useful items) are cartoon characters, the animation is crisp and detailed. It is not violent as there is no fighting or action scenes (Zack can get killed if he does the wrong thing, but nothing gruesome), but due to the level of the puzzle, it is more for the older kids--not younger than 7--or for younger children, parents should provide help with solving the puzzle. (just don't take over the controls and forget about the kids like we did). Highly recommended!

All the positive reviews are true! Zack & Wiki Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure is easy to pick up and just about anyone can play it! I got it as a gift for my brother and he loves it! What's surprising is my girlfriend loves it even more! It's an awesome game for the Wii! Good job Capcom! Sadly, like all the other reviewers are saying, this well-made game will probably go unnoticed. Support innovative games like Zack & Wiki and buy this game! (More Games…)
Destined to be a classic, January 1, 2008

Zack & Wiki Quest for Barbados Treasure is one of those games that from the surface looks fairly shallow and childish but underneath is an excellent game that will appeal to both casual and hard-core gamers. The game consists of piloting Zack (a wannabe Pirate) and Wiki (his golden flying mechanical monkey) through puzzles in different worlds. The learning curve is good, after the first mission you will be well on your way to figuring out the puzzles with ease...but not for long. The puzzles gradually become harder until they are wicked difficult. Underneath the cell shaded cartoon looks of this game is a deep logic-strategy game, I would recommend this game to anyone 8 years old and over. Zack & Wiki Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure is a must-have if you are a fan of classic point-and-click adventures such as the old LucasArts adventures (Sam & Max, Full Throttle), or Sierra (Kings Quest, Space Quest). If you loved the old Lucas Arts Monkey Island series growing up, or the Indiana Jones adventure series, you will love Zack & Wiki Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure. It's a console-version of the old point-and-click adventure puzzle games of the 90's. Funny and irreverent, though maybe not as much as monkey island. This is one of the few games I like on the Wii, and intend to finish. Some hardcore gaming-types may be put off by the cartoon graphics, but I have yet to meet someone who has not been addicted to the gameplay, i.e. solving puzzles and mysteries to move ahead. It's a very innovative puzzle-adventure game, and the first one I've seen that works well on a console.
Get it. (More Games…)
