Description Madden NFL 08
Why just watch NFL football on TV when you can take an active role in the game with Madden NFL 08 by Electronic Arts? Madden NFL 08 lets you control the running game like neverbefore. Step up as the lead blocker to create a hole, then take control of the tailback and smash through, overpower, or slash away from would-be tacklers as you fight for every yard. Innovative rushing controls give you a game-breaking ground attack featuring all-new jukes, cutbacks, and the distinct running styles of your favorite backs. Between the tackles or in the open field, run to daylight with Madden NFL 08. Bust out player-specific running styles matching those of real NFL players (e.g., smaller backs slash to break tackles, while bigger runners bowl over defenders in the open field). All-new jukes, cutbacks, and power moves Scout collegiate prospects with the all-new NFL Draft Scouting System Watch players impact their teams with the new Franchise Player Roles feature Use actual plays from your favorite team's defensive playbook to shut down the running game, pressure the quarterback, or force key turnovers

Do NOT buy the Wii version!, November 29, 2007

Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars

I really wanted to love Madden NFL 08. The controls are awesome...when they work. The instant pass after hiking the ball is just stupid. Yes, you can prevent that from happening, but you shouldn't have to think about how to snap the ball in order to not throw an instant incomplete pass. It's really great to explain to your friends how to carefully handle the controls in order to prevent a lost play... The graphics are awful. Feels like one of the early PS2 versions. The game play can be really fun, but I finally gave up on it because the glitches are too frustrating. Maybe EA will figure out how to design for the Wii by next year. (More Games…)

Madden Makers were LAZY , November 19, 2007

Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars

I've owned every Madden since the beginning and I wanted to cry when I started to see all the flaws these people put into Madden NFL 08. A very lazy job by everyone who was involved. You can't sort STATS, it doesn't record broken records, the Newspaper section doesn't show the cool pictures anymore, no freakin CELEBRATION WHEN YOU WIN THE SUPERBOWL, give me a break. All the cool little things that made Madden more that just a game are gone. They took what was suppose to be the greatest game off the year (In my opinion Madden is always the greatest game of the year) and went backwards like 4 years. Madden NFL 08 would be pretty cool if it came out in the year 2000. It's like they thought if you own a Wii you must hate Madden. I couldn't be more disappointed. (More Games…)

EA This game should have been 5 stars, October 31, 2007

I like Madden 08 on the Wii. I have heard it is glitchy, and buggy, but I have as yet come across any said, "Bugs". That being said, I play Madden for Football. I don't mess around with online, or any of the other playmodes. In that respect, this game serves it purpose. Nothing fancy that I noticed. I wish the graphics got more of an upgrade from the PS2. It seems to me that EA is just using the Madden Franchise as a cash cow nowdays. Nothing more than an upgrade in rosters from last year. Fun game, just for the football. Nothing else grabs me about this title. (More Games…)

Very cool and different gaming experience, October 6, 2007

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

This isn't your typical thumb flicking, button mashing version of Madden. The unique Wii controls makes for a really cool experience in every facet of the game - passing, catching, running, tackling, kicking, etc. Even fair catches are called by waving the Wiimote back and forth above your head - just like in real football! Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars

Cannot believe EA put out Madden NFL 08. Do not think about playing this online. The hurry up glitch (offense hurries up to the line without your command and usually ends up in a illegal motion penalty) and the qb throws right after snapping glitch just kills the game IMO. The graphics are on the same level as gamecube. The glitches should have been taken care of before they sold Madden NFL 08. (More Games…)
