Island Princess Movie. Mt daughter brings it in and loves when I sing along with it, especially the lullaby. The peacock feathers come off easily, but it snaps right back on. You just might have to do this several times a day, or you can conveniently "lose" it for a few days. Great for any Barbie lover!

We bought Hasbro Playskool Step Start Walk 'n Ride for our son when he was first learning to walk. He shrieked with delight the first few times he walked behind it. Very fun toy. The downside is that it is very light and tippy. Parents, you MUST walk along with your child and this toy until they are absolutely walking 100% on their own. On the upside, it's inexpensive and easy to switch between walk-behind and ride-on. Small and light enough to pack in the car for weekend getaways.

OK toy, but not the safest, February 12, 2008

We bought Hasbro Playskool Step Start Walk 'n Ride for our 1 year old son for Christmas (he's a little behind in learning to walk, due to being born prematurely). He likes playing with the various spinning toys and the lift up compartment, but as far as a walker goes I don't feel it's all that safe. Our house is nearly entirely carpeted and the wheels barely move on the carpet. I've tried it on the bare kitchen floor, and saw minimal improvement in the rolling. It also tends to go off course very easily and runs into walls. Probably worst of all, because of its narrow base, if it hits the slightest resistance the walker tips over, taking my son down with it. We borrowed a different walker which is a little bigger and heavier, and has a wider base, and it works so much better. It never tips, rolls very easily on the carpet, and is even more fun because it lights up and plays songs. If I were making this purchase over again, I would definitely avoid the Playskool walker and go for something with a wider base and a little more heft. (More Toys…)

Hasbro Playskool Step Start Walk 'n Ride is your basic walk 'n ride. It is easy for me to switch back and forth, but my four-year old can't do it. My baby likes playing with all of the little noise-making features, but most can't be accessed while walking or riding. I think this was available in a white/blue/red/yellow color scheme when I had my girls, and now I can only find it in a green/light blue/yellow/pink/purple color scheme now that I have a boy. These will work well for a long time, especially if kept inside. When my first one got sand in the wheels, they got too stiff to turn properly.

I bought two of Melissa & Doug Deluxe Standing Easel on for each kid. Turns out, they actually like to share when it comes to this ONE thing. Each one takes a side and they go to work! Finding an educational toy/easel that your kids actually enjoy working with makes life worth living, I tell you. I bought a third one for my co-worker's daughter before I realized that the kids only needed one. She loves it too, and my co-worker (Bob) keeps telling me what a great gift it was. Gave the spare one to my niece who's 5 and she loved it since she always plays with ours when she comes over. My kids have it in their play room and I'm looking at it is I'm typing this. My four-year old has drawn Shrek on her side (with the paper) and he's in brown water (mud, she tells me). My 2 year old has chalk marks all over his side...no idea what that's supposed to be, but it looks like he put a lot of time into it ;) Know that you have to buy the paper roll separately as well as the paint and brushes. We got the "art essential easel set" along with the bibs to keep them from messing up their clothes. Melissa & Doug Deluxe Standing Easel is worth every penny, and it's way cheaper than those fancy schmancy ones. Buy it. It must really be good as I'm usually a cheapo and I purchased three and ended up having to give some away. No problems whatsoever. Melissa & Doug Deluxe Standing Easel are not inexpensive, but are of the highest quality. Shipping was prompt and the item was well packaged. I deducted a star from the durability rating only because I droppped a small nut while putting it together, and it left a small but permanent dent in the blackboard. Clearly not a slate board, but overall a sturdy unit that my daughter has really enjoyed. A big improvement over DVDs and video games in my view!

I purchased Barbie Hair Accessory Set for my daughter for Christmas 2007. She was just over 2 years old at the time. She really likes this set and plays with it almost everyday. The working hair dryer is really cute and all the nail polish tops actually come off so she can pretend she is really painting toes. The makeup is realistic but not real (as stated in some other reviews). It would have been nicer if it had a carrying case with it but we just purchased a clear storage container with a lid and handle and now it is her "beauty kit" that we put some other "beauty" items in with this set. I just finished helping my daughter complete her first Illustory Book about her pet kitty. I only paid $5.93 on Amazon in December for the
Illustory Pet Story. Now it seems to be more expensive. My daughter is age six and wanted to use real photos of our cat so we decided to use the online version. You get to type as many words per page as you would like and the first 15 double sided pages are free. I think it took me about 2 hours just to figure out the software and how to upload my digital photos to the book. I was using a Mac and I was very frustrated at times. I said a few bad words. My daughter seemed to enjoy the process very much. Go figure. You submit the complete book online and pay the $3.95 return book shipping fee with a credit card. I thought this was going to be included in the kit price, but was it not. They say they online version speeds up the production time. We are patiently awaiting for our masterpiece to arrive. Next time, I will have her draw her own illustrations on the paper forms and mail it in. I think it is more charming that way.(More Toys…)

Not a published and public book a hardback, just for you, friends, and family book! It is very fun again. Simpsons Monopoly is an extremely great version of what is the greatest board game ever created. The rules are of course exactly the same but the Simpsons properties, money, Chance and Community Chess cards and everything else make it a fresh experience. The fact that the game board and game tokens are monorail themed does date it a little reducing it to a four and a half star rating. I would have preferred it wasn't that way with just the four train stations monorail themed. It is still great though but I would also like to have seen more game tokens of the other family members especially Grandpa and Maggie, and also other characters like Mr Burns in addition or instead of the doughnut. They could have also put Snake in the jail cell on that corner of the board rather than the traditional Monopoly criminal icon and Chief Wigum on the Go to Jail Square but maybe I'm just being picky. This is an excellent gift idea for anyone who even only occasionally enjoys the Simpsons and a must for anyone who is a fan. Also recommended to enjoy the game even more is Monopoly Companion The Players Guide by Philip Orbanes. This book will refresh the rules and save arguments and even teach you some, such as I never knew the number of houses was limited for a reason so that you could strategise and not buy hotels to stop someone else with a set from building. Just buy the game, you won't be disappointed!

About Transformers
The Transformers began as a Hasbro toy line back in 1983, featuring toy vehicles that could transform into robots. I bought Hasbro Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee Figure for my six year old son for Christmas, and it is by far his favorite toy. Transforming it from robot to car the first time did take quite a while, but the resulting car is very realistic. Now that I have done a couple of transformations, I can convert it in about ten minutes. It's too advanced for my son to transform though. When in car mode, the transformer locks together very well (first time I went to transform it back, I was surprised by how much force it took to unsnap some of the panels). When in car mode, the electronics have some pretty cool effects. When you push the car, the engine revs, and the headlights come on. When the car stops, it screeches to a halt and the tail light light up. Robot mode effects are cool too. Highly recommend this toy. (More Toys…)

Overall Hasbro Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee Figure that I bought for my 6 years is very neat. He enjoys it alot, but I have to change it from Robot to Vehicle everytime. Even for myself, the pieces are hard to put together and take apart to change back and forth. My son has many transformers and this so far is the one most complicated. I bought Nintendo Monopoly for my daughter's 11th birthday. She "inherited" an old Nintendo system from her uncle and plays the classic games on it. Opening this gift you would have thought it was a box full of a million dollars. As a collector of Monopoly, I also found it to be a great theme!
