Description Monopoly the Card Game
Editorial Review

Eager for a game of Monopoly, but don't have a few hours handy? Pick up the Monopoly Card Game and get your land-baron fix in under an hour. Game play is fast and fun. Try to build up a color set of properties and lay down your hand first with as many houses, hotels, and other beneficial cards as possible. You'll need to exchange cards with other players to win, which adds new levels of strategy and recalls the wheeling and dealing of the board game. Keep score after each hand with Monopoly money; make it to $10,000, and you're the big winner! --Rob Lightner

A new twist on the classic game, you get the fast-paced, strategic fun of Monopoly in this card game. Includes deck of 60 cards, pad of money, card tray and rules. For 2-6 players.

Shocking Surprise
By Medaan Chilali (Texas)

I was going on a road trip cross country and was looking for a fun card game I could play in the hotels along the way. I stumbled across Monopoly the Card Game quite by accident and being a fan of Monopoly but knowing I wouldn't have the time to play the bulkier board game version on the road I picked it up. I was a little nervous as I hadn't seen it in stores or anything. Once I got it and we made our first stop we played Monopoly the Card Game for hours. It was a BLAST! Plus the added bonus was that you could keep score with the money so no need to pack a pen and pad. The only drawback is the cards seem to be a little thin and bend kind of easy, but I would totally recommend Monopoly the Card Game for anyone who likes a Monopoly version of gin rummy with a twist. What fun! It's addictive! One of the best card games out there!
By Shirley "SAnneGranny26" (Sacramento, CA United States)

What a great way to play Monopoly! I like it even better than the board game. It was VERY addictive and a lot of fun to play! To my surprise, it has all the elements of the board game and then some. The strategy involved is interesting, especially when you need the cards in your own discard pile! My husband isn't big on playing cards and at times I get tired of waiting for the board game to end. We tried this and just couldn't put it down ... we played the 2-player version for several hours the first time we played it. We like to go camping and Monopoly the Card Game is small enough to pack with ease. Depending on whether you are caught with the Chance card or not, it can be fairly easy to win the game in just a couple of hands, when that happens we just increase the amount needed to win. The only drawback (if you can call it that) is that there isn't enough monopoly money provided, but that was easily fixable--we just kept a written tabulation of the score on paper and knew at a glance what our total winnings were. If you like to play monopoly, this is a very refreshing way to play! (More Toys and Games)
