Great gift

We got Mickey Mouse Monopoly for my dad for his 75th birthday, because of the 75th anniversary, and because he's always loved Mickey. It's a fun gift, nice retro touch, and still a quality games. Thumbs up! (Monopoly Here Toys and Games)

Almost Perfect
By Bruce Aguilar (Hollywood, CA)

My favorite thing about his edition is the design which is all retro. The board and box have a stressed, aged look to them and classic Mickey is everywhere on Mickey Mouse Monopoly. It looks great, but it could have been better. First off why in just about every version of Monopoly are the "Go", "Jail", "Free Parking" and "Go To Jail" corner spaces always the same? These should have been themed to better fit in with the rest of the design. Also the property cards have no themeing on them at all except for a Mickey face on their backs. One more thing, the houses and hotels are just the same as in classic Monopoly. Why bother theming the games if you're not going to theme it all? That said, the cards and money came out looking terrific as do the pewter pieces. Gameplay is exactly like regular Monopoly so the real reason to buy this edition is for the theming. Unfortunately although what was done looks great, there is much room for improvement. Here's hoping the 80th anniversary edition of Mickey Mouse sees an even better version of this great games. The World's Greatest Board Games Returns to a Galaxy Far
By Jamy Shaffer (Edgerton, OH United States)

Away...
As an owner of the original trilogy Monopoly, I was delighted to see the world's greatest games combine with the world's greatest movie series, but I found it to be little more than a run-of-the-mill games of Monopoly with only a few special extras. When the Episode I edition came out, I received it for Christmas and have loved it ever since. It is so amazingly cool!!! The property deeds attach to the board. The hoses and hotels (or as they are referred to here, apartments and towers) are stackable and also attach to the board, so there is no bothersome vandalism of property improvements. I love it so much that I even combined the money from the original Star Wars Monopoly with the new so the bank lasts longer. After these two editions came out, the world has been subjected to needless editions of the games that don't hold a candle to the fun, excitement, and beauty of this masterpiece. I even take it out just to look at the games.

Star Wars Freak

I play the games with my friends about once a week and the only disappointment is the fact that Obi-Wan is not one of the game pieces. I really like how they put the properties on the board. That way the gamesgames goes faster and you don’t have to look for the piece every time one is bought. I also really like the fact that the money is Public Dieteies instead of dollers.

Monopoly Boutique Edition

Pink monopoly just for girls? I don't think so., February 26, 2008
By Edward Balen (Bradenton, Florida)

First of all, I'm a long time Monopoly collector. I love Monopoly as I call it for short. Second of all, I know pink and purple are considered stereotyped colors. I know that they're considered female and feminine, but to me, they're just colors, plain and simple. I have a great many of Monopoly games in my collection, and I'm glad to add this one. Last, and most important, shop wisely for monopoly boutique edition. Toys R Us sells it for much less than offered here.
